We're all eager to get our hands in the dirt, and this session will provide you useful information whether your priority is vegetables, ornamentals, or even trees & shrubs. Certified Alberta Horticulturalist Bev Rogerson has a few decades of experience in research, landscape design and construction, and floral retail. She owns and operates Willow Valley Greenhouse near Wembley, and will be leading each of the gardening workshops offered in this three-part series.

Whether you have specific questions about your space - or are looking for some tips to help make the most of your time and resources, this workshop is for you. We'll cover some general do's and don'ts, zones, as well as practical steps for determining the number and variety of seeds to start, how to time your seeding and planting, and even germination testing of leftover seeds!

We invite everyone attending to bring any 'extras' they have kicking around, as we'll finish off the evening with a Seed & Supply Swap. Maybe your extras are exactly what your neighbour is looking for ... or maybe they have extras of exactly what you're missing!

All sessions will begin inside Elmworth Community Library, but will utilize Elmworth School's SPECTACULAR onsite greenhouse whenever possible. This includes us coordinating community use greenhouse work stations for those who are interested - contact the library for information on Terms of Use and booking.

For anyone planning ahead; the final session in this Spring Series will happen Thursday, May 7th @ 6:30pm.
No Registration Required to Attend. Admission By Donation.
